Yesterday there was a huge party for all the Dutch people: it was the Queen’s day! But this year was unique as Queen Beatrix abdicated to her son, and now the new King, Willem Alexander!
I was in Amsterdam to celebrate this special festival and thanks to the little sunshine, people dressed in orange everywhere, nice live music in the Jordaan, big screens on Museumplein, tons of celebrating boats on every gracht and lots of exciting things to do in Vondelpark I had a really great time! It was such an emotion to see all the ceremony of the incoronation of the new King from the Museumplein and as we say here in Holland: it was extremely gezellig!
